Rocket City Rising: U.S. Space Command deputy commander to keynote GEOHuntsville Summit Lt. Gen. Richard L. Zellmann, Deputy Commander, U.S. Space Command, will be a keynote speaker at the GEOHuntsville Summit on Thursday, March 26, at 9 a.m. at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. The Summit’s theme, “Rocket City Rising,” will spotlight conversations at the intersection of geospatial, space and artificial intelligence. Gov. Ivey touts Eli Lilly's $6 billion planned operation, U.S. Space Command's imminent relocation at Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce event

"These are exciting times for Madison County, the Tennessee Valley and all of Alabama," Ivey told those in attendance. "Less than three months ago, I was up in Huntsville to help break the monumental news of pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly coming to our state. Their $6 billion advanced manufacturing operation in Huntsville is the largest initial investment in state history."

The governor compared the significance of Eli Lilly's planned operation to a decision from Mercedes-Benz three decades ago that helped shape a thriving automotive manufacturing industry in Alabama.
