Concerns rise as Huntsville Hospital plans Crestwood takeover Huntsville Hospital announced the acquisition in late January. This move would consolidate all of the general hospitals in the Huntsville area under Huntsville Hospital, creating a near-monopoly. Jacob Morrison, president of the North Alabama Area Labor Council, helped organize the session. He is particularly concerned about potential changes in salaries. Company with 6 hospitals in Alabama says patient info may have been disclosed in cybersecurity ‘incident’ A healthcare company that runs six hospitals in Alabama announced Thursday that patient and other information may have been disclosed during a cybersecurity “incident” in January. ...Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, said the cybersecurity firm it contracts with to provide secure file transfer software became aware of the incident on the night of Jan. 30. The actual incident occurred sometime between Jan. 28 and Jan. 30, CHS said. Fortra, the cybersecurity firm, took down impacted systems offline on Jan. 31. ...CHS said it would provide identity restoration and credit monitoring services for free for two years among those that request it. Citizens sharing concerns over busloads of migrants HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - There is a video on social media that shows a busload of chicken plant workers being dropped off at the Athens Walmart. The video has lots of people asking lots of questions. “We just want answers of where are they coming from,” said Athens resident Amanda Schulte. “How are they getting here? Who’s setting them up? And when is it going to stop?” WAFF 48 checked with the company at the center of all these questions, Pilgrim’s Pride. Officials said the buses are carrying workers from Athens and Albertville to their plant in Russellville. “Recently, a new refugee program has incentivized immigrants to move to our communities,” Kitchens’ statement said.
