This move would consolidate all of the general hospitals in the Huntsville area under Huntsville Hospital, creating a near-monopoly. Jacob Morrison, president of the North Alabama Area Labor Council, helped organize the session. He is particularly concerned about potential changes in salaries. Alabama has an open U.S. Senate seat with the departure of Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama), who is now running to be Alabama’s next governor.

All seven of Alabama’s U.S. House of Representatives seats are going to be on the ballot. Right now, Republicans hold five of those seats, and Democrats hold two of those seats.

The video has lots of people asking lots of questions. “We just want answers of where are they coming from,” said Athens resident Amanda Schulte. “How are they getting here? Who’s setting them up?
