The bureau said the tests will help address populations that were undercounted in the 2020 Census, evaluate public messaging and assess how well it can process data as it is collected.

Barrett said Madison County’s low unemployment rate and large number of group quarters made Huntsville a strong candidate for the test.

The video has lots of people asking lots of questions. “We just want answers of where are they coming from,” said Athens resident Amanda Schulte. “How are they getting here? Who’s setting them up?
