Huntsville man among four charged in scheme to illegally export AI chips to China HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Federal authorities have charged four people with conspiring to illegally export advanced NVIDIA graphics processing units (GPUs) — technology with significant artificial intelligence and national security applications — to China. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the group allegedly worked together to bypass U.S. export controls and ship restricted technology overseas by falsifying documents, creating fake contracts, and misleading authorities. 'This wasn’t my decision': Eli Gold out as voice of Alabama football

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBMA) — Eli Gold, also known as the voice of the Alabama Crimson Tide football, will no longer serve in the role of announcer.

In a news release Wednesday, the university said that after 36 years, Gold was "departing from his role" as play-by-play announcer for the Crimson Tide and host of "Hey, Coach" on the Crimson Tide Sports Network.
