Alabama State Superintendent, Eric Mackey, said more than 3,000 students left the public school system for private or home schooling through the state's new CHOOSE Act . Donald Ray Hill, Sr.

Donald Ray Hill, Sr., 79 of Huntsville, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He was born March 20, 1943 to Omer Milus and Emma Jane Weaver Hill. He was a proud 1961 graduate of S.R. Butler High School, where he formed long lasting friendships. Don Coached many years... was a member of the Huntsville Philatelic Club. He retired after 40 years service with the US Postal Service. Don was a member of Jackson Way Baptist, where he served as usher and deacon for many years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Claudia Gates Hill, whom he always said was the love of his life
