Donald Ray Hill, Sr.

Donald Ray Hill, Sr., 79 of Huntsville, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He was born March 20, 1943 to Omer Milus and Emma Jane Weaver Hill. He was a proud 1961 graduate of S.R. Butler High School, where he formed long lasting friendships. Don Coached many years... was a member of the Huntsville Philatelic Club. He retired after 40 years service with the US Postal Service. Don was a member of Jackson Way Baptist, where he served as usher and deacon for many years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Claudia Gates Hill, whom he always said was the love of his life

Speaking on Auburn University’s McCrary Institute’s “Cyber Focus” podcast, Rogers confirmed that the long-awaited decision will be finalized this month. during President Donald Trump’s first administration, the U.S. Air Force announced that Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal in Alabama was the preferred location for U.S. Space Command’s permanent headquarters. That decision followed a comprehensive evaluation process in which Redstone Arsenal ranked first, surpassing all other contenders , including Colorado’s Peterson Space Force Base, which ranked fifth.
